HOLY SHELLAC!!!

I cannot believe I am just discovering Shellac and it's been out since May! It is the ONLY way I will be manicuring my nails from now on. I had my finger nails shellac'ed for the first time yesterday and I am loving it! Shellac is a breakthrough, patent-pending UV3 technology that combines the ease of polish with the permanence of gels. This is specific to natural nails and it goes on and off like a regular polish but the mirrored finish lasts up to two weeks! Plus, no dying time or damage to your nail! Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Food Find!

Last weekend my husband and I discovered Mochi frozen yogurt. The concept is to create your own frozen treat by mixing a one of their fantastic flavors with any toppings you want from the topping bar. My creation consisted of Birthday Cake flavored frozen yogurt with rainbow sprinkles and crushed Oreo cookies. It was AMAZING! I could not believe I was eating frozen yogurt. Mochi is 100% all natural, non-fat, and cholesterol free.

Botanica International Design Studio has been featured on Martha Stewart Weddings Online! This wedding had a very unique design and their vision was accomplished flawlessly. The bride and groom share an interest in science and medicine and therefore played a large role in their decor elements. The use of the scientific glassware, exotic specimens, and natural accents helped create an environment that represented the couple perfectly.

Happy Friday!

California Dreamin...

In exactly 3 weeks from today we are heading to the west coast for an exciting trip with stops in Vegas, San Francisco, and Sonoma Valley. Being the foodie that I am, of course I am excited for all the new eats! I hear the place to stop for fresh bread and baked goods in San Francisco is Tartine Bakery and Cafe. They won the James Beard Award in 2008 for best pastry chef and were nominated the two years prior. I hope we have time to check it out!

Greetings!

Here it is! After a lot of thought and blog reading I've decided to start a blog of my very own. I don't think I have an overly exciting life or anything, perhaps just some fun thoughts, experiences and finds for me to share. So, my first post will be about me and what you may see on sweetbias in the future.

- I am a proud wife and mom. My husband and I have a busy 3 year-old little lady and a 4 year-old stubborn bulldog. You may see some posts about life, parenthood, and keeping sane all the while.

- Working for an incredible event designer, I'm naturally interested in anything related to the event industry. That being said... weddings, events, decor ect., are not off limits.

- I am a lover of travel, food, wine, fashion, home decor, or anything that is visually inspiring.

- Lastly, I am blessed to have some pretty great people in my life and keeping them all to myself would be a shame. Therefore, from time to time I may have some guest bloggers with fun blurbs to share.
